Abstract

Sepsis merupakan kondisi yang mengancam jiwa dan perlu penanganan tepat waktu untuk mengurangi angka kematian. Terapi cairan merupakan salah satu landasan manajemen sepsis. Terapi cairan atau resusitasi bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kekurangan volume darah untuk memastikan curah jantung dan perfusi darah organ normal serta untuk melindungi fungsi organ. Namun, panduan terapi cairan yang benar dan optimal pada pasien dengan sepsis masih menjadi masalah yang sulit karena tanda-tanda klinis dari respon cairan yang sulit, terutama pada pasien anak. Tinjauan naratif ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai pemilihan jenis terapi cairan pada pasien sepsis. Jenis terapi cairan yang sering digunakan pada pasien sepsis adalah kristaloid dan koloid. Balanced kristaloid direkomendasikan sebagai cairan resusitasi lini pertama pada pasien dengan sepsis karena murah, tersedia secara luas, dan menyebabkan lebih sedikit efek samping serius. Namun, pertimbangan dalam memilih jenis terapi cairan pada sepsis lebih disarankan agar dilakukan pendekatan secara individu, menyesuaikan dengan kondisi klinis pasien sepsis.
